Constituion Day at Kargil Campus of Kashmir University
Constitution Day was observed at Satellite Campus Kargil on Nov 30, 2019. Rector of the Campus Prof. M. S. Sumbli presided over the function. All teachers and administrative staff perticipated in the function. In spite of the heavy snowfall, inclement weather and the examinations, a large number of students participated in the function.
Prof. Submli in his introductory remarks, very briefly, threw light on the constitutional duties. He also impressed upon the participants to remain aware about the Constitutional Duties and safeguard the Constitution. Prominent lawyer, of the District Court, Kargil, Mr. Ghulam Murtaza, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, delivered the main lecture on the topic, “Constitutional Duties of the Citizens”. He discussed in detail the fundamental rights of the Constitution of India. The function lasted for about two hours. After the lecture was over brief question-answer session was held.

The Rector, informed the gathering that next lecture of the series will be held in the last week of December 2019, before the commencement of winter vacations.
